Welcome to the Dyfed Golfing Union

The Dyfed Golfing Union exists to support, promote and celebrate the game of golf across our counties. Formerly known as the Three Counties Union, we continue to build on a long tradition of encouraging participation, nurturing talent and bringing golfers together.

Our Aims

At the heart of everything we do are four simple goals.

  • We aim to foster a strong and active golfing community across Dyfed, encouraging players of all ages and abilities to enjoy the game.
  • We work to improve standards of play at every level, offering opportunities for development, friendly competition and continuous learning.
  • We organise matches, leagues and events throughout the year, giving members the chance to compete, represent their clubs and enjoy the social spirit that makes golf so rewarding.
  • Above all, we strive to promote positive connections between golfers, clubs and the wider community.

Membership

Membership of the Union is open to all properly constituted golf clubs within the Dyfed area. Additional membership categories can be introduced through approval at an Annual General Meeting.

Clubs wishing to join can apply in writing to the Secretary. Each application is reviewed by the Management Committee, and once accepted, new members agree to follow the Constitution and Rules of the Union. Membership becomes active upon payment of the annual subscription or any agreed levy.

Annual Subscriptions

Subscription rates are set each year at the Annual General Meeting. Member clubs receive a request for payment each January, and subscriptions should be paid by 31 March to maintain active membership.

Officers of the Union

The Officers of the Union oversee its day to day running. They meet regularly throughout the year to make decisions, support club activity and ensure that all Union policies and guidelines are followed. Their role helps keep the organisation running smoothly and ensures that our aims remain at the centre of everything we do.
